It took a little while to change from our old site. It was like an old shoe, not flashy anymore, but comfortable. Easy to navigate and familiar. But just looking at the Rugby Forum today, one is struck with the cool look of it all….like an expressionist painting.
And there are less obvious benefits, like the ability to respond to a specific post or the general thread. At times that’s a useful distinction.
My only remaining suggestions are firstly in the archive, dating the posts with a year as well as the month, that would make the search for a particular post much easier.
Secondly while I endorse the intermingling of posting and journalism, it would be helpful to migrate the journal articles through the page in a way that protects posted threads. When you get a ‘dump’ of articles, no affront intended, interesting threads sometimes disappear too fast. That said we are now actively being provided information we might have to search for….resulting in a better informed poster.
This site deserves more posters, and given the passion for rugby it’s puzzling that that hasn’t happened yet.
