China and America agree that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. In a world where the UN has become less relevant, getting the only two major powers to agree to this ban is important in many ways.

Firstly it could be the start of other bilateral agreements that could actually be practical.

Secondly it clearly marks Iran as a rogue nation.

Thirdly it lowers the tension between the two super powers and given Iran is more important to China, represents a concession

Fourthly it establishes a precedent on nuclear proliferation.

The other things that were agreed were easier, but a start on AI is also important There was some human contact that can’t be underestimated. You had Iranian leaders talking directly on American media. The missing elephant not in the room was Vladimir.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump have agreed that Iran should fulfill its commitment not to develop nuclear weapons, according to a release made public after Xi wrapped up his state visit to the United States on Friday.
The two leaders also agreed that no country or institution shall charge transit fees for passage through international waterways.
During the three-day visit, Xi and Trump exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations as well as major international and regional issues. ■

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- From Sept. 23 to 25 local time, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the United States. During the visit, the two heads of state had in-depth discussions on the constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability and major international and regional issues, and reached eight deliverables and understandings:

1. The two sides agree to build "a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability on the basis of respect, fairness, and reciprocity."
2. China and the United States support each other in successfully hosting the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and the G20 Summit. The two heads of state intend to attend each other's meetings.
3. The two heads of state agree that Iran should honor its commitment to not developing nuclear weapons, and no country or institution can be allowed to impose tolls on international waterways.
4. The two heads of state recall that China and the U.S. were allies in World War II and fought side by side to win the war.
5. The two heads of state recognize the positive role of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, endorse the outcomes of the consultations between the two economic and trade teams, including establishing and taking forward the Board of Trade and other mechanisms, reaching an arrangement for a 30-billion-U.S.-dollar reciprocal tariff reduction, and the extension of the outcomes of economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur, and give instructions that they be implemented.
6. The two sides note that cooperation between the counter-narcotics and law enforcement agencies of China and the U.S. has produced visible outcomes. Recently, the two sides working closely together have jointly cracked multiple cases involving New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and precursor chemicals, and apprehended dozens of relevant criminal suspects in the two countries.
7. The two sides agree on the establishment of the China-U.S. AI Dialogue to exchange views on risks and benefits related to AI. The next exchange will occur in November 2026. China and the U.S. also agree to establish a bilateral communication channel for AI incidents.
8. The United States welcomes the arrival of two giant pandas, leased by China to Zoo Atlanta.
   In addition, the Chinese and U.S. militaries agree to conclude a memorandum of understanding on crisis communication and prevention as soon as possible, and continue their cooperation to search for the remains of missing U.S. servicemembers in China

The old adage ‘sharing is caring’ doesn’t always apply

You never even had the sense to check Mid Term history…..and so now you are plastered with egg yet again.

Oh the irony, because you never had the sense to check China's stance since the 2000's on Iran's obtaining a nuclear weapon which drum roll please has been consistently that Iran should not developer a nuclear weapon.

But of course you're never going to acknowledge that completely undermines the premise of your original post.

*But of course you would probably be delighted if Trump was to fail in Iran …..and your measure of failure is obviously losing in the Mid Terms….totally missing this is usual and highly likely given the effort to stop Iran, something the average voter doesn’t understand. *

And here we can see the groundwork being laid for the shifting of the blame. If Trump is forced after the midterms by congress to bring the war to an end, Trump and the Republicans will forever push the narrative that Iran was about to surrender but the democrats let them off the hook.

Yet another example of Trump and the MAGA-sphere never acknowledging their mistakes let alone accepting blame for them.
