Earlier this year, Pollock teamed up with Matchroom Talent Agency, headed by boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who regards the young rugby star as a "seven-figure player." Despite the attractive prospects and the continuous interest shown by his new agency, Pollock maintains that rugby remains his immediate focus.
"I definitely want to go and live in different countries, explore new sports, explore new avenues," Pollock told reporters. "Eddie and the Matchroom team are constantly messaging me, calling me about different avenues and they've been great with that kind of stuff. I'm not going to say no to any opportunity."
Nevertheless, the allure of different opportunities does not cloud Pollock's commitment to his current sport.
"At the minute rugby is my main priority so I'm focusing on that in the near future, but as I said, you never know what's happening around the corner," the 13-time international added.
Apart from keeping his options open, Pollock believes Hearn's support is vital and sees no added pressure from the high valuation put on him. He perceives it rather as a testament to Hearn's expertise and an opportunity to drive necessary changes within the sport of rugby.
Pollock's potential transition abroad, possibly to clubs in France or Japan, could indeed prove more financially rewarding, though it would mean sacrificing certain benefits from playing in England. The prestige and commercial benefits linked with English rugby hold great value.
The Northampton native remains appreciative of his roots: "Northampton’s been so great to me, I’ve been here my whole career and they’ve made me who I am. For me to stay here would be so special," said Pollock.
