I often think about this game that we all love and some of the ridiculous names that we've had to try and pronounce over the years.
Some of the Fijians names are impossible to try and roll off your tongue.
Then names like Cheese van Tonder and more recently Jaythen Orange (I still cannot believe a parent would do that) will forever live with me.
I also played with some guys at Diggers back in the 2000's whose nicknames were folklore...
Cheese, Oubaas, Skommel and Lood all playing for the same team...
But those were nicknames. We also had Defan (like Stephan) and Morne'-Andre Andrikus (which sounded like 3 players).
The Bokke have also had a few.... Os and Beast come to mind i necent years.
My all time worst was Berrick - How does a parent wake up and decide rhat their sons name must be BERRICK!
Anyway... help me out here.
