Rassie used the start-of-season home games to test new players and combinations. The ideal scenario would have been to play the last game before the All Black tour with his first-choice team. A home game of course.

Instead, the Boks are playing in Argentina the week before. That means Rassie will leave many first-choice players behind.
Why would any team want to be playing away in another country (Argentina) before a home series against the All Blacks starting the next week?

The only test that was close to the favoured team was against England. The other 3 games had some 4th-choice players in the team.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks will be at the braai, settling in. 100% focus should be against the All Blacks; instead, Rassie and co are galivanting on the other side of the world.

I have to agree, I would have just used the last two test to play my best or the first 3 test to dial the team in.

England was probably going to be the hardest team, but Scotland put up more of resistance. Yet, Wales was nowhere and so was our performances.

Now the guys have to go to Argentina on one game mission, what a waster. If Rassie is so desperate to get his 2nd and 3rd string team to get game time, why did he not just throw an extra test instead of playing against a below par Babarians team.

The problem is so many of his key players who are either out of form or recovery from injury or that should be retired.

Kolisi - Injured and out of form, hardly played this year for the Saarks
Eben - Banned for 11 games and then never played due to some concussion issues, and probably done
Lood- Not able to play more than 30 min by either getting red carded or injured for the past 6 years.
Mostert - Injured
Ox - Injured
Pollard - out of form
Sasha - injured and erratic, hasn't been able to put a controlling game in for ages.
Arendse - Out of form
Fassi - Completely out form
Andre Esterhuizen - Recovery from injury with limited game time

Not sure if the musical chairs are helping.

he should be galvanasing his team.

If these guys are so good or the other guy is equally as good. Then focus on the players you have rather than waiting for the long in the tooth crocked players to come good
