I have 3 problems with the team:-
1, There are only two line-out jumpers in the team and over the years Erasmus has always used 3 jumpers, Then there is the issue of power - I would prefer Wiese Junior as a lock - real power.
2 I am worried about Pollard at flyhalf neither on franchise or test level. He lost pace and with it went his defense,
3 I do not think that Erasmus regards Esterhuizen as a center anymore - he has too many problems with regard to pace and reading of games as well as defense. Let me explain - both Pollard and Esytrhuizen are lousy defenders - so having two poor defenders at 10 and 12 is looking for trouble, The only function for him would be to replace the arch-dolt Van Staden as a bench loosie.
4 Who would be the captain from that team. On test level Etzebeth was made captain at one stage in two tests - but he was unsuccessful. I do not think he inspire the team to produce the goods or change techniques when the team is not functioning.
By the way both Pollard and Mostert are has beens and should not even be in the squad,
