Autumn Glow 11/11 steps up to 2000m for the first time in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. With master trainer Waller and world-class jockey JMac in her corner, she’s got a solid shot against a top-class field. But with her odds so short, I’ll be taking a punt on her stablemate instead.

I also thought so and put R200 on a couole between Tempted and Autumn Glow - the odds being 1/1 - Bad and disheartening loss, However I put R100 on Zac's horse in the previous race and won on that one.

Another funny bet today - I have two bets outstanding:-

  1. Tempted (Randwick) and Questioning at Greyville Race 5
  2. Etzebeth (Greyville Race 2) and Questioning

I had a mixed day. I think we now know that Autumn Glow is not suited to a hard 2000m.

Really happy for Chad; he doesn’t get many good rides, but Ciaron Maher is an excellent trainer who clearly has a lot of faith in him.

Tempted will go for a spell and reappear in the rich Melbourne Spring Carnival leading into the MC.
