After 10 days, no team has truly stood out from the pack. Germany, Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands all seem evenly matched, though one or two might rise to the occasion in the next round. Confidence combined with strong form is the key to claiming the crown.

Switzerland top group B followed by Canada in 2nd.
Bosnia very likely to be one of the 8 best 3rd placed teams with their 4 points.
I'm pulling an all-nighter tonight. Brazil vs Scotland up next and then Bafana Bafana at 3am.
Brazil and Morocco both win their games but Brazil top the group on goal difference.
Scotland finish 3rd but should get through with 3 points.
Hamba Bafana Bafana!
Half time and it's 0-0. Bafana have looked a lot better and they've had a few good chances, notbaly in the 29th minute when the SK keeper made a spectacular double save.
Not sure I'm going to keep my eyes open much longer. It's nearly 4am.
Much better, they've showed up, going forward, and if they continue to press something will come of it.
Yes!!!
Finally we find a finish.
Maseko scores. Bafana Bafana 1-0 up. Mexico are also leading 1-0 in the other game so as it stands, we're going to the knockouts.
90 minutes are up. There are 6 minutes of injury time. Still SA leading 1-0. I have no nails left to bite!
SK piling on the pressure . . . it's out for a corner, In it comes but it's cleared . . . back they come, a looping ball in and the Korean attacker just can't make contact as Ronwen Williams claims it. The SA fams are starting to celebrate . . . can we do it? 2 more minutes. Mexico go 3 up against Czechia.
Another SK attack . . . the ball comes in . . . it's cleared. Just seconds now . . .
Woooooohoooooo!!!
Well done Bafana Bafana!!!
We made it out of the group for the first time ever at a World Cup.
We'll be playing Canada in the round of 32. Dare we dream?
Bravo Bafana....Bravo Hugo Broos.......he has the dressing room, turned them around he did.
Into the KO stage for the first time.......dream and hope by all means without it there's nothing.

Bravo Bafanax2 ... you stuck my scepticism up my arse.
Had Canada avoided defeat to finish top of Group B, they would have stayed in Vancouver for their last-32 tie and potentially a last-16 fixture.
However, a 2-1 loss at BC Place meant Canada finished second behind Switzerland and so Jesse Marsch's side will travel to Los Angeles to play South Africa on Sunday (20:00 BST).
more good news for us ... & hopefully the neutrals will be supporting the underdogs
skepticism huh?
Never in doubt.
You're forgiven just this once LOL

Yes but apparently you aren’t aware of this….in 2026 there are 32 teams in the knockouts vs 16 in prior WCs. We are in effect no closer to a final.
Always glad to help the uninformed.
